The active Cuxhaven tourist will be glad to encounter a good network of well developed bicycle paths and hiking trails - walking on top of the dyke you will come across numerous Nordic walking fans. Cuxhaven is also a paradise for equestrians - or those who would like to become it. Traditionally, equestrian sport is very popular over here. There are many equestrian stables, also with ponys, where you can rent a horse or learn riding.

Starting several years ago Cuxhaven has become a trend-setter when it comes to beach sport events. To practice these sports we have the "Stadion am Meer" (stadium at the sea). Tournaments in volleyball, handball und football have turned into a site that is drawing the masses.

Or is Golf perhaps your passion? Then you should go for an unforgettable golf game on the generously arranged 18-hole golf course.

At the North Sea there are of course also ideal conditions for swimming, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and angling.
